WASHINGTON, N.J.
September 24, 2026 Habitat for Humanity NWNJ teamed up with The Arc of Warren County for a Women Build day to repair and paint the front porches of the cabins at The Arc Camp Warren in Columbia, NJ. The camp is owned by The Arc of Warren County and services children and adults with developmental disabilities. 53 volunteers from various corporations in Warren and Sussex Counties along with Habitat for Humanity and Arc of Warren County volunteers came together to make the day a huge success. Not only did the cabin decks receive a much-needed coat of paint; benches, swings, and picnic tables were also painted.
Since 1991, Habitat’s Women Build volunteers have come together from all walks of life to build stronger, safer communities. Women Build opportunities are available across the U.S., and any woman or person who wants to learn how to build or repair a home is invited to join.
Women and children are the most likely to be affected by poor living conditions, and these events provide the opportunity for women to take a proactive step in serving their communities.
Women Build is also a terrific way to involve your friends and family of all ages in crucial work with a lasting impact. You can also come alone and make new friends; the atmosphere is collaborative and friendly!
Thank you to the sponsors that sent crews of volunteers; Franklin Mutual Insurance, Fulton Bank, Valley Bank, First Hope Bank, KPM Exceptional LLC, JDC Power Systems, Muheisen Bagel & Deli, the Arc of Warren County, Blue Ridge Lumber.
