Saturday October 17, 2026, Habitat for Humanity NWNJ hosted 10 students and one advisor from Warren Hills High School and 7 students, one advisor and one parent volunteer from Delaware Valley High School for State Farm Youth Action Day at the ReStore on Rt. 57 in Washington. The students volunteered side by side with the ReStore employees and volunteers in various departments such as donation drop off, audio/video, housewares, textiles, and in the front of the ReStore with a food donation drop off for the Washington Food Pantry. The event was part of a grant received from State Farm Insurance and gave the students an inside look at what the ReStore’s mission is and how it supports home builds and the critical home repair program for the
affiliate. The students were very enthusiastic, and many said they want to return to volunteer again.
